About
Wreh-asha is a Nottingham-born actress who trained at the Identity School of Acting in London.
Wreh-asha featured in Harry Potter & The Cursed Child as a cast member, performing in the ensemble and as a cover for Hermione Granger-Weasley.
She debuted in The Lion King in London's West End, featuring as both comedic Shenzi and the matriarch Sarabi.
As an independent artist, Wreh-asha wrote, co-produced and released the soulful EP ‘Classic’. The single 'Classic' from the EP made a strong impact, receiving BBC Radio airplay and featuring in the US Bravo series 'Girlfriends Guide To Divorce' and Oprah Winfrey's 'Queen Sugar' (OWN). Performances as an independent artist include appearances at the renowned Glastonbury Festival.
Off stage, Wreh-asha merges creative practice with qualifications and experience in Special Educational Needs and Child and Youth Development. Wreh-asha maintains an active presence in the education sector, coaching and developing the mental health and wellbeing of young people and underrepresented groups. So much so that while acting professionally, she completed her degree with a focus on psychology and counselling.
